Dwij Raksha

Dwij Raksha is a dedicated initiative by the Rotaract Club of Ahmedabad Midtown, held during the week of Uttarayan. Our members volunteer across the city of Ahmedabad to participate in bird-saving activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of birds affected by the festivities.
During Uttarayan, the sky is filled with vibrant kites, but unfortunately, these kites pose a significant threat to birds. Dwij Raksha is our proactive response to this issue, where our volunteers work tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate injured birds. Equipped with necessary training and resources, our team is committed to making a positive impact.
Our activities include patrolling the city, responding to distress calls, and providing immediate care to injured birds. We collaborate with local veterinarians and animal welfare organizations to ensure that every bird receives the best possible treatment and chance for recovery.
Join us in this noble cause and help protect the beautiful avian life that enriches our environment. By volunteering for Dwij Raksha, you contribute to a compassionate and humane community, safeguarding our feathered friends during Uttarayan.
Save Birds. Spread Compassion. Join Dwij Raksha.
